Just a quick update really as since the great design update i haven’t even updated my blog. Well Ryan has been a busy boy. ppc leeds has been inundated with client work. I am not grumbling at this however with other commitments this ties up all my hours in producing the great back to basic PPC blogs i am looking to churn out.Fear not, i will be back to my best very soon. I have a schedule of around 10 blogs i am looking to get through by the new year. This means new material for you guys, new areas for me to explore and more ppc knowledge to be spread to the masses. Sounds good? It will be. In the meantime I am looking to develop the current blog further. The introduction of flickr, my social media hot spots so you can all stalk follow me to name a few. This is the plan I have in place for the next couple of months so stay with me guys.

In the meantime i will leave you with a picture of how I feel at the moment. Freelancing is not an easy ride I will vouch for that. Maybe that could be my next blog?

Thanks for your time,
Ryan

Welcome guys. First of all i hope you like what we have done here. New design, new ideas and plenty more action packed PPC stuff. I have been debating with myself whether this blog should be strictly ppc related or whether i can make it a personal place to showcase myself as a person, a ppc dude, an seo enthusiast and a bit of a social media monkey.I decided to go forward with the personal idea. Its my own little online place to showcase what i do afterall so why not?

What shall you expect for the future? Well the PPC posts will continue. I want to get across the fact that ppc can be done by anyone and the details once late are really simple and can be extremely effective. I believe for simple SEO the same applies. Its like anything. Learning to ride a bike. Its difficult at first but once you understand how it works its simple.

Learning about me. I think with any blog i read i enjoy the fact i am able to read about the author and find out what they do when they arent blogging about their skill. I am wanting to achieve a social zone really with PPC Leeds and integrate everything into this one place. Pictures of what i do, where i go, blogs about my life and everything i do. Its going to be interesting guys.

Read along and we will have a fab ride together. The blog will teach you plenty but also hopefully provide something different than the PPC educational side. Wait till you see my first post about ‘Beer Butt Chicken’. That one will be fun.

Have a great day.

Since the launch of PPC Leeds i continuously find myself scouring through analytics looking at statistics as to where our positioning is within the Google search engine and find out who is searching for us. Granted it is indeed early days and no marketing has taken place the results are encouraging.
The most encouraging success is through our positions within Google. Working on a new website and having a respectable position within Google is not easy however PPC Leeds has had great success thus far. I would have to say that PPC Leeds as a term is not the most popular term within Google however the results thus far are further accelerating the PPC Leeds business plan which is to target those small businesses within the Leeds area and offer them vast industry knowledge without those hideous industry prices. From an Search engine optimisation perspective i have seen the term ‘ppc leeds’ already climb to number 1 within Google.

Now obviously this isn’t the most popular searched term however it is extremely encouraging for a site launch. Other ways PPC Leeds has aimed for search engine exposure is through the ‘Google Local business’ links. If you looking to target either a niche market or a localised area then Google local business is brilliant for this. Not only are we ranking on the opening page for the term ‘ppc leeds’ but exposure has also been gained through ‘pay per click leeds’ and ‘pay per click marketing leeds’ with the aid of our friend Google business.

From the screenshots its plain to see we are making strides and this is reflective within our Google analytics search data. It is still early days however and we are not claiming to be SEO gurus (that bit comes later ). We do however realise that from any business point of view it is essential to be listed within your key terms and this has already been achieved for some key terms. It also accelerates the strategy as mentioned early and enables us to be available for our target audience. Stick with us guys, these updates in regards to the business and our progress will be on going. I want to promote clarity and transparency within my working atmosphere and give people the chance to read what i am working on.

So im sat on my Girlfriends parents sofa, lap top on my knee writing this post. Interesting facts? Not really. The reason for this blog is just to discuss how difficult time management is in order to attain some success through this blogging world i have decided to delve into. Its nearly three weeks since i started this blog and really everything is disjointed, not organised and basically not in the shape i want it to be.

But hey im getting there right? I have set myself targets to achieve success, success being delivering my thoughts and opinions on Search Engine optimisation, Pay Per click and other areas of online marketing. I feel as though i have opinions to express, thoughts to get across which can aid people. Its also a way i put down my own memories in writing. Sometimes its best to have the techniques you use written down for your so this blog is also an area for me to show progression through various aspects of my work. I have come on leaps and bounds since i started Search engine optimisation 9 months ago which shows anything is possible within this industry.

The main point of this blog however is not discussing my ability in Online marketing its however time management. Im finding the time aspect of this difficult. Holding down a freelance job, hobbies, girlfriend as well as friends and family is difficult enough without running a blog. Every aspect of life is difficult to juggle together which in a sense is a chellenge in itself.

This is not me waving the white flag however. I guess its realisation that getting my blog to a bigger audience is going to be a long haul. Things take time and effort to mature so this realisation is good. Quite frankly life is always a long and winding road to success, nothing is simple, nothing is instant, unless of course u win the lottery.

Tonight its nearly 9pm and i have to be up at 5:45am for a drive to Leeds from Cambridge for work. This is another example of my not so simple life. But im in this for the long haul, the blog will take shape over time so bear with me people. I want people to become involved within this blog because i feel you can learn the simple things which significantly help with both organic and paid marketing.

Thank you for reading people. Good night all

This week I finalised my aims and objectives of this blog.My initial aim is one tutorial post and one site of the week post weekly. The site of the week post is where I ultimately start my blogging. For those interested in PPC, you will notice that a lot of the high profile websites on the World Wide Web have very poor PPC practice. For example: EBay. Due to EBay’s every extending products list, E bay relies upon keyword generation tools in order to feed thousands of keywords into their PPC campaigns. This means some of EBay’s ads become disjointed, offensive, and obscene.

Your PPC Sucks aims to highlight these websites and ‘name and shame’ them within the public domain. I share a common bond with Your PPC sucks. The bond of detesting poor PPC practice. The site has some fantastic examples of incredibly bad PPC. For example: Tech Matrix sells Braille software for the blind. Unfortunately in their PPC ad campaign they use the word choice ‘See’. Although not directly offensive, for a PPC campaign to be so poorly structured is beyond belief.

Your PPC Sucks is a relief to all us PPC executives worldwide. I feel the site is a breath of fresh air and offers almost laughable versions of terrible PPC. It also serves as a warning to us all. Sharpen up your PPC or you may end up on the named and shamed list of Your PPC Sucks. Check it out today.

I would like to believe i have numerous ideas, thoughts and expressions which could have a positive affect on people, whether its business wise or socially speaking.

The title isint my delcaration of my new found love for Rowing in ancitipation for the Olympics. Unfortunately thats not the case. Its basically my activities for last night. Recently i purchased a rowing machine (where is this blog going you may ask) and finally last night i set it up. Its a bit of a side project alongside this blog. The rowing machine and the blog are going to work hand in hand. Its my self mission really. Get fit and get noticed.

But what does this have to do with marketing and more specifically online marketing? It doesnt to be honest…but………it lays the foundations for the rest of the blogs from this moment forward.

Rowing is a continious technique where you do the same method over and over the produce the same goal. This is relevant to Online marketing. There is aspects of online marketing which it is essential to complete on each project. I am going to start with the basics and hopefully work the way up. Its a way of helping the novice learn the basics and apply them for some success. Its amazing the amount of blogs on the internet which are so far developed that its actually frightening reading what people can do and what is the ‘bench mark’. But dont worry. Ill start at the beginning. Ill start with something simple, something so effective for measuring the success attained by Online Marketing. This is little tool i will introduce my blogs with is Google analytics. Happy reading.
